This post was written while watching the 3 hour show, with no proof reading, so excuse any mistakes or things left out. So although it's Wednesday already and you must have read/seen/listened all the interesting parts, here is the time lapse of the night.

Staples center in LA becomes the center of global music for a night.
Beyonce opens the night with Jay-Z with drunk on love. And oh mah gahd. I dont know what happened to this woman after she gave birth but she has become so much more provocative. She has always been sexy but now she is steaming. Btw of course her latest surprise album is not nominated or this year. And yes, if JayZ can get Beyonce there is hope for all of us ugly ducklings out there. I wonder how it is to perform with your spouse btw. And why when I watch music awards I have to see Taylor Swift dancing?

The host of the night comes on stage, LL Cool J. This guy was a music star when his genre was not even nominated on such nights. Did you know that the Beatles are performing tonight? Ringo and Paul are in the house. So is Yoko Ono btw.
For the first award we have the sweetey Anna Kendrick and Pharell Williams (what are you wearing dude?) presenting New Artist. James Blake (love this dude), Kendrick Lamar who everyone label as the new star of hip-hop, Kacey Musgraves (sorry dont know her), Ed Sheeran (new artist?) and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. The grammy goes to the latter! Yay! Hip-hop's good guys allow me to say. Wow, they had no record label for this album! Pretty awesome. Perhaps a label wouldnt allow "same love" to be released.
Lorde on stage now for the night's second performance! What was I doing her age? Hmm, I wasn't a global sensation whatsoever. Erm ok she is a bit of overacting. Too many seizures. Chill girl. Anyway, hopefully this girl wont turn out to be a one-hit wonder.
Hunter Hayes now, who I hardly heard of before to be honest. Finally a handsome guy who pays more attention to his music and lyrics than his sixpack and his tattoos (rings a bell?). Atmospheric debut performance of "Invisible"  with quotes from people like John Lennon, Lady Gaga projected above the stage. Go on, put the song on a new tab while reading this, it's a beautiful song about bullying.
"Music is the closest thing we have to a universal language"
Best pop duo/group performance now. Daft punk and pharrel williams with the tune of the year, pink and nate ruess (whats happening to this guy's band btw?), rihanna and mikky ekko for stay, blurred lines, jt and jay-z. I really want them all to win. Ok not robin thicke that much. Yay! Get lucky win this! Nice. *awkward congratulating since kissing a robot mask would be weird* . Oh nile rodgers also on stage. Should have mentioned that.
Katy perry now to perform her new single "dark horse". She comes out of a snow globe on a stage right out of a dark fairytale. Either this or I have watched the trailer for Jolie's maleficent too many times. Wait, pole dancing on a broomstick? And twerks? Katy I've loved you! Ok her vocals were good. (The live performance of unconditionally were not really good on MTV awards and the british Xfactor. ok she was awful there). Ah and the song is kind of non-interesting at a first listen at least. And has a sense of "I've heard this before". Or is it just me?

Robin Thicke and Chicago for one of the night's interesting collaborrations. Thicke and a big band at the grammys? Who would have thought? You must have realised by now I dont really appreciate him much. Oh wow! He was giving a hand to the legendary band with their hits and now blurred lines comes up. He's on his knees! Dude after 2006, noone falls on the knees while performing.
Keith Urban now...and its a good time to pee and put the kettle on. Sorry Keith but fake tan, eyeliner and a v t-shirt is not something I look forward to see. To a man that is.
Talented john legend now performs "all of me" on his piano. I've only discovered this guy with his song "made to love" which i didn't fall for at first but I'm obsessed with now.
Rock song award now. Gary clack jr, cut some slack by a bunch of artists, doom and gloom by jagger and richards, and a black sabbath nomination and muse for panic station! At least these nominees are actually rock. Mtv made us believe that 1D was rock now. If it were my choice, I would give it Muse but cut some slack wins with paul mcartney, dave grohl and ok i dont know the rest. *applause to these legends*
Ah taylor swift now. This blog has said too much about this girl already, i wont say more. *mutes laptop, flips hair and walks away for three minutes*
Oh i cant hold my bitterness. Your teenage drama is not the center of the world honey. Now grow up and drop the attitude!

Super Bowl half time performer Bruno Mars presents Pink and Nate Reus. Ah she is in the air again. At least she is not dripping this time! Ok im joking! I worship her for this kind of performances she gives. And now she is  down for the known and loved choreo of "try". And yeah she has a shirtless stud with her. And just give me a reason starts playing. Nate ruess is as hipster as it gets with the bordeaux tux and the mustache. They are both so good!

Cutey ariana grande and miguel present best pop solo performance. Nominees are sara bareilles for brave, lorde for royals, bruno mars for when i was your man, perry's roar and mirrors for jt. In the meantime the clips shown are from covers performed by other artists. The grammy went to lorde! Bright career i suspect?
Black sabbath to present next performance. Hi Sharon! Oh whoalas! Wait, is it that time of the night? Ringo Starr on stage. No its not yet. This is his own "photograph" written by him and george harrison, beatle guitarist. Standing ovation by everyone!
Jamie foxx to present rap collaboration. And the grammy goes to the king jay-z for holy grail though. (He was also nominated for his duet with beyonce). Holy Grail is great btw, never thought nirvana lyrics would sound so good in a rap song.
One of the most powerful performances of the night by Imagine dragons who perform Radioactive in all white and Kendrick Lamar also in white to perform Swimming Pools. Take it easy with the headbanging guys. And Taylor for God's sake sit down! Ok they are awesome. And red.

And back to back performance by kacey musgraves. I have already made it clear that i dont like country. Especially when it has neon cactii and looks like a christmas tree. But she is hot!

Julia roberts, an unexpected presence, now announces a show that will air to honour the beatles fifty years after their first performance on CBS. And now its the time we were waiting for. Paul Mccartney and Ringon Starr reunite on stage to perform the beatlie Queenie Eye. This is how grammy history is written fellas. (sorry for the bad quality)
Producer of the year is Pharrell Williams ofcourse and now best pop vocal album. In the clips we again see the tracks performed by youtubers basically, some recognisable. Lana's paradise, lorde's pure heroine, bruno's unorthodox jukebox, thicke's blurred line and ofcourse timberlake's complete experience. Bruno Mars wins! It aint bad kid! Well done!

Another actor from an oscar movie, Jeremy Renner, to present the next performance. It is a country performance, i only know blake shelton from all of these guys but this must be some old school country!
Country-ness continues with best country album and Kacey wins! Taylor i see the fear in your eyes!
Neil Patrick Harris to present get lucky. We have daft punk, stevie wonder, pharrell williams and nile rodgers. Oh to see stevie wonder sing this, "Le freak" and "Another star". This is epic!
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/daft-punk-stevie-wonder-pharrell-674151 (couldn't get the embedding code for this one and it was a shame to post some poor quality from youtube)

Oh lalala! Cyndi lauper to present the next performanxe. Still lunatic. And i mean this the good way. She presents Sarah Bareiles who is all over this year btw (relatively) with Carole King. They together present song of the year. Give me a reason, locked out of heaven, roar, royals, same love (oh wow, really? Song of the year?). Royals win again! Amazing success for this girl who beats the biggest names in the industry.
Btw, where is Lady Gaga? Not a single nomination for Artpop?
Jared Leto now on stage to presents lang lang and metallica who perform, uniquely i may add, the classic "one". And they rock it out.
Steven tyler does some of his magic now and with all the respect may i never age like these two guys.

Record of the year. Get lucky ofcourse, radioactive, royals, locked out of heaven, blurred lines. Daft punk win this and seem to be winners of the night so far, with lorde.
And now one more highlight. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (the success story of the year) now perform the hymn to love of the year, not for some of us but for all of us like Queen Latifah said. Yeah, they perform "Same Love" with a chapel set up and a gospel choir. Ofcourse, Mary Lambert joins them. Mary Lambert must be grateful for what this guys did to her song. Queen Laifah joins them to announce that 33 couples were in the theatre to celebrate their vows. Wow what a moment. She pronounced them a married couple and that is when Madonna gets on a stage with her walking stick singing her song "Open your heart to me" and then joins Mary Lambert. Seriously, this is how music is celebrated. And although what' happening is so romantic and important, I can't pay attention to Madonna's face which seriously cannot move!

And Lang Lang again. Ok I dont know much about this guy, only saw him a few times here and there.
And after a quite long video paying tribute to all the artists who left us this year Miranda Lambert and Billy Joe Armstrong sing "When will I be loved". A quite standard part of the night. Closer to the end now, to present album of the year we have Yoko Ono, Alicia Keys and Olivia Harrison. Sara Bareilles, Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift. The grammy goes to... Daft Punk! You dont make a comeback without a Grammy I guess. And now it's time for some grande rock n roll. Queen of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac), Dave Grohl perform a mashup of hits by everyone really. And the night is over. Summing up, the winners were Daft Punk, Lorde and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. There was some good music throughout the year and certainly throughout the night. Some interesting collaborations, some successful, some not. That's all for now folks!
PS thtoughout the night there were quite a few tributes and some awards "less glamorous". Sorry to skip those but they involved mostly names I am not really aware of so I couldnt type THAT fast. Thanks for reading this and the Internet is big enough, so someone must have those awards and tributes somewhere!
